Mekong Delta

We have been in historical city Ho Chi Minh for around 4 days with family friends in December. There are many places to visit the city but I couldn’t stop myself to visit 3 places. These places are especially child-friendly as we were accompanied by a super cool baby. Best way to reach the city from the international airport is prepaid taxi costing around 180,000 Dong.We booked the hotel near Airport due to late night flight but I recommend others to stay in District 1 for easy access to most of the sightseeing attractions. We took Chu Chi tunnels tour and Mekong Delta day tour with The Sinh Tourist company.

First day Mekong Delta

Mekong Delta (Cai Be Vinh Long): Nice day tour with the English speaking tour guide. What you get what you paid for. It’s a group tour for those people who don’t have enough time to explore Mekong Delta. Do not forget to buy handmade coconut candy and rice paper sheet for souviner visit our Trip Advisor review link

Second day

Cu Chi Tunnels: We took morning half day tour to visit Cu Chi.This place rewinds the history of Vietnamese people during the war and shows how they planned to fight in Mekong region.

Ben Thanh Market: Evening half we went Ben Thanh to buy souvenirs. This place really checks your bargaining skills. People in the city have the great interest in Indian and Indian TV serials which make me surprised.

Tips: Take one round to see what you want to buy with what people are offering you, even there is a fix rate line inside market to give you the fair idea about max price.

Third day

Ho chi Minh local: You can consider Saigon Central Post Office, war museum and Reunification Palace for a full day itinerary for your last day or just rest with visiting local place and eat.

Param and Shikha, Thanks for visiting my little corner, Food are Vietnam is awesome, at least they know, what vegetarian is(my travel partner is vegetarian not me). You can have many different noodles and fried seafood in the main course while spring roll with some soup in a starter.
