Visiting Malaysia is itself to find more about food, culture and nature. We have been there in 2014 and here we are to share our trip with all of you 🙂
- We took following route Japan =>Kuala Lumpur => Singapore =>Kuala Lumpur => Japan. We had same day return flight Singapore =>Kuala Lumpur => Japan so we never mind taking single entry visa for Singapore.
- Let’s start with Kuala Lumpur we used #Airbnb for the stay in our whole trip. The place we had to explore in Malaysia are fewer but remarkable. Life in Malaysia seems to be cool, good, foodies and adventure.
Penang food paradise
No doubt if you are food lover must visit Penang specially gurney drive around 17:00 to 20:00.Sea foods are so mouth-watering there. You can try the many restaurants in the Indian village and even in Chinatown for vegetarian flavour. For sightseeing, you can consider Murugan temple which is on top of the hill. For old architecture and heritage, you can visit George town. For just relaxing and panoramic view of Penang destination is definitely Penang hill.Never forget to do some research about transport, how you are going to move in those places. There are local buses, hip-hop buses and taxis.
Many attraction places you can visit by trains and buses but for the taxi, here you can check your bargaining skills. You will like KL twin tower once it is fully lighted up so go in the evening and enjoy tower and dining over there but if you want to go up the Petronas tower then visit in early hours. Batu cave is the good place for the morning half day visit but the place is crowded during Thaipusam festival so plan your trip accordingly, evening half you can go for Petaling street local market or butterfly garden.
Melaka the centre of visiting Malaysia
Melaka is beautiful no doubt first impression become the last impression. There is two side of Melaka one side is ancient Melaka complete with old streets and architecture and another side modern Melaka with skyscrapers surrounded by shopping malls. You can go and have look dutch square, nearby the place is tourist visiting centre you can take the pamphlet and for Melaka city.Go for Jonker street walk, there are many antique shops.Jonker street night market is in operation only on weekends.Again go to the indian village to see few temple and have good light breakfast.
We had banana leaf plates for lunch, my wife was giving some extraordinary smiley for thali as in Japan there are few places to have such desi environment and delicious south Indian food.In the other half day, you can go for evening cruise or men rickshaw(Heart shaped near dutch square). Many attraction is in short distance you can take walk to the Dutch square, Indian village and Jonker street on the same day.
Visiting Malaysia Johor
I didn’t explore Johor too much as we have decided to take rest from hustle and bustle. You can enjoy Johor town and Legoland amusement park.We finished with these four cities and move to Singapore. The difference between Singapore and Malaysia you will see once you cross the border.I love Malaysia and feel real slogan truly Asia.
